L.Tech Dronny Darko's and Vitaly Lebukhorski's "Polar Sleep" is a powerful and mesmerizing album of intense Polar Dark Ambience.

I would include this album with other Polar Dark Ambient projects such as Thomas Köner's classic "Teimo / Nunatak / Permafrost," Ugasanie's stunning "Ice Breath Antarctica," and Melanohelios' eeire "An Unknown Compelling Force."

Cryogenic Weekend delivers a bone-chilling and menacingly other-worldly listening experience … welcome to Polar Sleep.

In.Visible.Generator I was hoping for an good "old-fashioned" Dronny Darko album for an while. Just like "Embracing The Possibility Of Failure" back in the days. Polar Sleep has an unexplainable depth in his lowest frequencies. Some kind of microscopic processes and hard to catch obscurities. Maybe a bit less cinematic than his solo works, but with an otherworldly sense for opressing and heavy drone textures and wonderful crafted detail layers.
Dotflac

Dotflac Drones relentlessly laminate desolated central plains like mercury infecting the least interstice of life on its path. Sub-hertzian tides turn icebergs upside down and crack the floe in a mute scream more dreaful than any audible event.

Feelings of loneliness lead to others of abandonment, reasonable distress turns to sheer panic, unanswered questions ultimately summon furious madness.

And without knowing it, you wake up confused in your room. This might be what Polar Sleep is all about. Favorite track: Who Couldn't Remember.
Cold Rollins

Cold Rollins Polar Ambient at its best and most raw...Although it doesn't re-invent the wheel,it gratifyingly encapsulates a fortuitous and isolated, iced over sense of peril and doom. Favorite track: Sensory Isolation.

about

Oleg Puzan seems to have his hands full.
Not only does he frequently release under his solo alias through Cryo Chamber label, but also he has energy left to cooperate with other artists. From ritualistic dark ambient to minimalism, he has made himself a name in the scene and his creativity doesn't seem to have an end.
About a year ago we saw the release of Dronny Darko's collaboration "Black Monolith" with Ajna on Reverse Alignment. This year we release another cooperative creation with Oleg Puzan; "Polar Sleep" by Cryogenic Weekend. This entity is formed together with fellow compatriot Vitaly Lebukhorski (Oil Texture) and is a visit to the coldest regions of the world where widespread glaciars and the kingdom of snow rule. "Polar Sleep" is an invitation to experience the sounds of a realm where ice never melts.
